Of Counsel

Steve has represented business clients large and small for 30 years. He has hands-on experience trying cases throughout the Atlanta metro area. His practice includes litigation and counseling regarding the full range of business litigation matters, as well as trust and estate litigation, including the following:

  • Shareholder litigation, partnership disputes, claims for breach of fiduciary duty
  • Contract disputes, lease disputes, business torts, fraud claims and commercial collections
  • Litigation and counseling regarding trademarks, trade secrets and covenants not to compete
  • Will and trust litigation
  • Appeals in both federal and state courts

Steve began his professional career as Law Clerk to Chancellor William T. Allen of the Delaware Court of Chancery, which is the premier business litigation court in America. In 1991, Steve became an associate at the Wilmington, Delaware office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, where his practice focused on corporate and shareholder litigation involving large public companies. Steve moved to Georgia in 1994. 

Steve received his B.A. magna cum laude in economics with minors in mathematics and philosophy from Brigham Young University. He then attended the University of California Berkley Law School where he was an Associate Editor of the California Law Review.
